Guantanamo.- Workers of the sugar mill Argeo Martínez in Guantanamo intensify their efforts to ready the machineries in order to join the upcoming sugar harvest on 13 December.
Engineer Lexis Suarez, general director of the sugar industry says that investments are running for two months to improve the steam generation systems along with the repayment of the cutting equipments.
He added they’re also adjusting locomotives and other railway means so as to ensure the highest volume of raw material to the mill, the unique in Guantanamo province intervening in the sugar campaign scheduled till April next year.
The purpose is to guarantee a high and stable milling taking into account all the parameters of quality and efficiency and thus greeting the Sixth Congress of the Cuba Communist Party, scheduled for the first half of 2011.
