Edgefield County, SC—One man is in the hospital after his tanker truck full of ethanol overturned and exploded.
The accident happened shortly before noon, on sunday, on Sweetwater Road, in Edgefield County. That’s between Horn Creek West Road and Jeter Road.

Crews are still on the scene and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC), from Columbia held a press briefing, Sunday evening.
They tell us they aren’t sure yet what caused the driver to overturn, and that no evacuations will be made, since no homes are nearby.
