The Valero Energy ethanol plant near Albion, Nebraska is back in operation and grinding corn this week.
A Valero spokesman told the Albion newspaper that the start-up process is underway and the plant is expected to ramp up to full production fairly quickly. The plant is designed to produce 110 million gallons of ethanol and 315 thousand tons of distillers grains annually. Valero finalized purchase of the facility on May 8th from VeraSun.
