"I congratulate the Prime Minister and Congress President on this verdict. The Central Parliamentary Committee of the party will sit and decide the future course of action. If Congress approaches us (regarding the formation of government) we will think over it," said the SP leader.
"We had earlier supported the Congress, apart from some issues, we have always supported it. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has not, officially or unofficially, communicated anything to us." He further added, "We fought elections without the Congress and this has weakened the BSP in the state but it has not been eliminated."
"I am happier than Jaya Prada herself on her victory. I had put everything on stake for her victory, which is a slap on the face of those who denigrate women," said Amar Singh,on Jaya Prada winning from Rampur.
