Khartoum - President Omar Al Bashir and Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz directed the concerned parties to promote industrial and economic relations between the two countries, said Minister of Industry Abdul Wahab Mohammad Othman during signing a contract on establishment of Sugar Company in Mauritania by Kenana Sugar Company (KSC).
Minister of Economic Affairs and Development of Mauritania Sayed Ould Tah who signed on behalf of his government pointed out that the establishment of the factory will boost sugar production in Mauritania, lauding KSC for professionalism marked preparatory stage of the project.
Managing Director of KSC Mohammad Mardy al Tijani expressed happiness in cooperating with the Mauritanian side, hoping sustainable collaboration to upgrade development in the two countries.
Further, Othman confirmed readiness of Sudan to provide Mauritania with broad experience in the field of sugar manufacturing, calling for Mauritanian investors to participate in investment renaissance in Sudan witnessed in Sudan lately.
For his side, KSC Chairman of the Board of Director al Zubair Mohammad al Hassan announced completion of feasibility to establish Sugar Company in Mauritania producing 100 thousand tons per day, pledging full support to the project.
