Peruvian-focused Maple Energy has signed an ethanol distribution agreement with Mitsui.
Once commercial operations begin, Maple will sell to Mitsui all its Ethanol Project's production for five years, except for up to 20% which it may sell domestically in Peru.
Maple CEO Rex Canon said the deal 'represents a significant milestone in the development of the Ethanol Project'.
The agreement also satisfied one of the key remaining conditions for first disbursement of the senior secured debt financing of about $140m for the project.
