Emmer, Dems Clash At Farmfest Over Ethanol Mandate

(Redwood Falls, MN) -- Spirited debate during today's governor candidates forum at Farmfest in Redwood Falls with DFL-endorsed candidate for governor Margaret Anderson Kelliher saying Republican opponent.

Tom Emmer "has not supported biofuels." Emmer responded he voted against biodiesel but voted for the E-20 ethanol mandate - but Emmer would not answer whether he supports eliminating that mandate. Emmer says he supports the ethanol industry but, as governor, would not have an agenda to change the ethanol mandate. "You leave that up to the legislature and the people," he says.
