Sens. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., Tim Johnson, D-S.D., John Thune, R-S.D., and Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, on Tuesday introduced a bill that would order the Environmental Protection Agency to increase from 10% to 15% the amount of ethanol allowed in gasoline. The legislation could help meet the federal mandate, which requires the consumption of 36 billion gallons of renewable fuel by 2022, Nelson said. Chicago Tribune (09/23)
